Q: What qualifications are necessary?A: Self-starters, positive thinkers, and highly motivated persons who love children move to the front of the line! Previous dance training and solid organizational/business skills are also necessary.

Q: What is the up front cost to me?A: There are no costs involved for the Director. If you are hired,Just For Kix assumes all the financial risk of starting a new program, from marketing to set-up. The Director’s up front time to get the program up and running is your investment.

Q: How much time will being a Just For Kix Director take?A: One of the prime benefits of the Just For Kix Director position is the flexible schedule. Most first year Directors start out teaching 3-6 hours per week, September thru April. The day of the week and times are flexible and can be structured around your schedule. Aside from that, you will have weekly prep time. The amount of time each week will depend greatly on what time of the year it is, but your at home prep time is also flexible, and can be scheduled around your other commitments, as long as deadlines are met and quality service is provided. Directors can expect their first year will be the most time consuming, as you are paving a new road, but once the initial set-up and schedule are up and running, many of the initial efforts can be duplicated from season to season.

Initially, a key component to the success of a program is the amount of time devoted to marketing the new program in the community. While this time can be very flexible, the upfront time Directors put into program development, is paid back in the months that follow.

Q: How much commission can a Just For Kix Director make?A: We offer you an opportunity to make an EXCELLENT income. Your income is based on the number of students in your program. The more students, the higher your income. Students pay a monthly fee for taking classes and we utilize your area’s current economic landscape to help determine a class price. The average fee charged by most of our programs is $30.00 per month. You receive a percentage of the gross sales after expenses.

Your income is also supplemented by dance supply and uniform sales. You make 10% commission on uniform sales and 15% on Just For Kix merchandise sold.

Q: Where would I hold my classes?A: Just For Kix most often rents from school districts. We also have many classes held in community centers, fitness centers, hotels and even shopping malls. A central location that is easy for parents to drop off and pick up their children is best.
